Candidate Privacy Notice
When you apply for a job through Cossmic, the employer collects your data and Cossmic handles it for them. Here is what that means, in plain English.
Who has your data
The employer you applied to decides what information to collect and why. Cossmic is the software they use to manage hiring, so we process your data on their behalf and under their instructions. If you want your data changed or deleted, you can ask us or the employer — see below.
What is collected
- Your name and contact details.
- Your résumé and anything you add to the application.
- Interview notes and feedback the hiring team records.
- If you are hired, onboarding and employment details.
Why
To assess your application, communicate with you about it, and — if you are hired — to onboard you. We do not sell your data or use it to train any machine-learning model.
How long it is kept
Your application data is kept for up to 2 years, or until you withdraw consent, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Full detail is in the Data Retention Policy.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time. You can do this from any application page, or by emailing us. We verify who you are before acting, and respond within 30 days.
Minimum age
Cossmic is intended for applicants aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, please apply only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
