Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy governs payments for subscriptions to Cossmic, operated by Cossmic Technologies (incorporation in progress). It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Cossmic is a business-to-business software service licensed to organizations for commercial use; subscription payments are made by the subscribing organization for its business purposes.
1. Free trial
Cossmic offers a 14-day free trial with full access to the applicable plan at no charge and without payment, so you can evaluate the Service in full before you pay. We encourage you to complete your evaluation during the trial. No amount is charged unless and until you choose to subscribe to a paid plan.
2. Subscription fees are non-refundable
All subscription fees are charged in advance for the plan and billing term you select (monthly or annual) and are non-refundable, except for the billing errors described in Section 5. Without limiting this, we do not provide refunds, credits, or pro-rated adjustments for:
- unused time, seats, or any unused portion of a billing period;
- partial months or years after cancellation;
- downgrades to a lower plan;
- accounts that are unused or under-used during a paid period;
- dissatisfaction where the Service is materially available and operational;
- changes to individual features while the Service remains materially operational; or
- accounts suspended or terminated for breach of the Terms of Service or applicable law.
Payment of fees is your commitment to the full billing term selected.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from your billing settings, or by contacting support@cossmic.in.
- Effect. Cancellation stops all future charges. It does not refund amounts already paid for the current period.
- Access. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account moves to a limited or read-only state in accordance with the Terms of Service.
- Timing. To avoid the next charge, you must cancel before the next period begins (for annual plans, before the renewal date).
4. Automatic renewal and renewal notice
Paid subscriptions renew automatically for successive terms of the same length, at the then-current rate, using your registered payment method, unless cancelled before the renewal date. We send an advance renewal reminder to your registered email before each renewal and, in line with RBI rules for recurring payments, a pre-debit notification at least 24 hours before each automatic charge, so you have a clear opportunity to review or cancel it beforehand. Keeping your billing contact details current is your responsibility. A charge arising from an automatic renewal for which advance notice was duly sent is non-refundable under Section 2.
5. Billing errors (limited exceptions)
Despite Section 2, we will correct and, where appropriate, refund a payment in these limited cases: a duplicate or accidental charge for the same subscription and period; a charge raised after a valid cancellation had taken effect; a verified billing or technical error attributable to Cossmic; or where payment succeeded but access was never provisioned and cannot reasonably be restored. Contact support@cossmic.in within 7 days of the charge with your account details and the transaction reference. Approved refunds under this Section are limited to the amount incorrectly charged.
6. How refunds are processed
Where a refund is approved under this policy, it is issued to the original payment method through our payment processor, Razorpay, and typically processed within 5–7 business days of approval; the time to reflect in your account depends on your bank or card issuer. Refunds are made in Indian Rupees (INR), are inclusive of applicable GST, and are accompanied by a GST credit note against the original tax invoice.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact support@cossmic.in first so we can resolve it. Raising a bank or card chargeback without contacting us may result in temporary suspension of your account pending resolution, and we reserve the right to contest chargebacks we reasonably believe to be unwarranted.
8. Enterprise and custom agreements
Where you have a separate written order form, Master Services Agreement, or other negotiated contract with us, the refund and cancellation terms of that agreement prevail over this policy to the extent of any conflict.
9. Discretionary refunds
Any refund, credit, or accommodation we grant that is not expressly required by this policy is a one-time gesture of goodwill, made at our sole discretion, and does not waive this policy or create any obligation or precedent for future requests.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect when you pay governs that payment. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email, and the "Last updated" date above revised. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from it will be resolved in accordance with Indian law.
